Creating a new container

Use Container Builder to create a new container.

To create a new container:

From the AppBuilder main window, select Build Container Builder. The Container Builder window appears.
The window is launched in Add or Find mode; the Add button and Container list box are both enabled. Choose Add to create a new container, as shown:



Enter a Container name (the logical name of the container) just as you would assign a name to any dynamic container.
Select the Type of container (DynFold, DynObjc, or DynMenu).
Enter a description and assign the layout to an existing Product Module. Like every other object in the Progress Dynamics Repository, a container must be assigned to a Product Module. You might want to define a general or system Product Module for objects, such as container templates, that can be used in different application modules.
Complete any optional fields:
Select a Super procedure name of a procedure that will be instantiated as a super-procedure of the SmartObject.
If the container being created is to be based on an existing container (template), select the Container from the list box.
If this container is to be flagged as a template, select the Template Object check box.
Click Save.
